Room to breathe, nature, long sunny summer days, a safe environment, and the chance to own a home with space to grow and have friends come and stay without sleeping on the sitting room floor!  The hardest part of course has been losing the closeness of John's sisters and their family who have supported us and been a close part of our lives these past years, especially birthdays, Christmas time and family celebrations. However Ingegerd has  an aunt and brother not far distant. It was autumn 2010 on a quick visit to Sweden that we saw an old Vicarage for sale in the countryside near to where Ille's aunt lives, and not so far from the area where Ille grew up. We are always curious about houses and asked to look it over, and it was just our style of house. Then it went off the market over the winter. In the spring there was another option to buy - oh what a terribly difficult decision!  The house remained for sale and in August during our usual summer holiday we were able to view the property thoroughly, liked what we saw even more than before, and put in an offer. Now Ivy Cottage is on sale and we are setlling in.  What one place has the other hasn't, and vice versa!  Locally, our home is referred to as "Börstig Prästgård": ( See the Photo Gallery) and  visit the The Vicarage in pictures.   January 27th 2011 Bye Bye Ivy Cottage The move is on, and today we fly out for Sweden, Lucky our cat has her own passport and is in her travelling box. My sister is with us overnight to help in every direction and keep our stress levels down. A hired minibus with driver will take us to Heathrow, plus cat, plus luggage and essentials for the first week in Sweden in an empty house.   An Occasional Blog Follow Börstig Prästgård on Facebook
